Message from the Founder Members

I started this journey Since 2017 with a simple goal under the platform “Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Songstha” a social welfare organization to help the less privileged in our community considering the parent’s act of extending a helping hand to the poor that reflects compassion, empathy and a responsibility to support those in need. the idea emphasizes the importance of providing for the underprivileged, fostering a spirit of generosity and extending assistance during challenging times.

I am privileged to let you know of having registration of “Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Songstha” from department of social services under the ministry of social welfare in 2019.

I invite all of you to join us on this journey of humanity, whether you volunteer, donate, or spread the word; you are helping us create a better, more equitable world.

From now, 28 years ago, I began my journey after getting married, driven by a simple, undying love for the less privileged and a firm belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive. I personally observed closely that my mother-in-law, Hamida Begum, was truly a symbol of a mother of humanity, who was always extending her kind hand to deliver daily essentials—whatever she had and whatever she could—to the underprivileged village people, which was truly exemplary and exceptional.

This type of necessary step towards making an everlasting difference in her village and vulnerable communities, and her religion of humanity, touched my heart deeply.

Considering Hamida Begum’s public-friendly development implies focusing on her services, philanthropic efforts, and social welfare to provide aid and relief to the underprivileged and vulnerable populations, an initiative was taken in the year 2017 to formalize her individual efforts in developing underprivileged and marginalized communities, transforming them into an institutionalized structure like a social development initiative.

I am proud to share this dream with distressed people for empowerment and employment generation, especially for rural marginalized people.

In line with the above, I invite solvent people of society to join us on this journey to stand beside underprivileged people for life-changing support that we firmly believe in, and together we can achieve.

My beloved mother, Hamida Begum, founded Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Sangstha in the year 2017 to support vulnerable people, focusing on sustainable transformation of the quality of life for urban poor people. The mission is to bring hope to slum dwellers through health care, education, primary sanitation, arsenic-free safe water, free medical camps, free legal advice, elimination of dowry practices, child marriage, drug addiction, and financial inclusion, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty.

Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Sangstha’s mission is to work with the urban poor, especially underprivileged and marginalized people, to bring about long-term and sustainable transformation in their quality of life.

As a daughter of my distinguished mother, I have seen with my own eyes since the inception of this organization how she (Hamida Begum) has been working consistently to bring smiles to the faces of the poor and needy, involving a combination of direct aid, sustainable empowerment, and genuine empathy based on common humanitarian efforts in Bangladesh.

It is to be noted here that “Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Sangstha” has been governed through self-financing since its establishment in 2017.

However, considering our ongoing work, future targets, and plans, “Hamida Ayez Somaj Kallyan Sangstha” was registered under the Ministry of Social Welfare in the year 2019.

Hopefully, I personally believe and urge the affluent members of society to stand by this volunteer organization to boost, encourage, and strengthen underprivileged and marginalized rural people.
